1. We Lease the Property from You
We sign a long-term lease with you—no subletting, no gray areas. You receive rent directly from us, on time, every month. You’ll never have to deal with individual tenants.
2. We Furnish and Maintain the Home
We set up and furnish the property ourselves to ensure a consistent, comfortable living environment. You don’t lift a finger. We also handle all cleaning, maintenance, and check-ins to keep the home in top shape.
3. We Fill the Home with Carefully Screened Members
Each resident is background-checked and agrees to strict house rules. Most of our members are veterans transitioning back into the community after active duty—many of whom have limited family support or are recovering from life changes like divorce.
3. We Manage the Day-to-Day Operations
You won’t deal with calls, complaints, or repairs. We handle it all—like a business, not a hobby. This includes enforcing house rules, resolving issues, and maintaining peace and order in the home.
3. You Get Paid Like Clockwork
Your rent is paid in full and on time—no excuses, no delays. Even if rooms go unfilled, you still get paid. We take the risk, so you don’t have to.

Legacy Housing Solutions was founded by Christopher and Mechelle Thompson in 2025 to meet a critical need in Charlotte’s growing housing crisis—safe, affordable housing for people who often get overlooked.
With over 30 years of experience in Christian ministry, serving and supporting others has always been central to our lives. Legacy Housing Solutions is simply an extension of that mission—providing stable homes, building community, and offering second chances to those who need them.
